Book Review: The Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings

Hello people of the book world!
This week's review is about The Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings:

Meadow Woodson, a fifteen-year-old girl who has been trained by her father to fight, to kill, and to survive in any situation, lives with her family on a houseboat in Florida. The state is controlled by The Murder Complex (MC), an organization that tracks the population with precision.
The plot starts to thicken when Meadow meets Zephyr James, who is—although he doesn’t know it—one of the MC’s programmed assassins.

The plot of this book was actually really hard to describe (that's why I took the summary from Goodreads) because of all the twists and turns that happen. But we all love a good plot twist, don't we? So that's of course a good thing.
The story is told from two different POVs: One's by Meadow, who is such a bad-ass but still very likeable character and the other's by Zephyr, an orphan and programmed killer. I really liked both perspectives equally much which is rare for me because I normally prefer one over the other - but not with this book! Lindsay Cummings did a great job describing the dystopian world to the reader: it's bloody, corrupt and completely out of control. It was an awesome, edgy, action-packed read and I think everyone who liked The Hunger Games, Divergent or the movie Hanna (which was amazing btw;-)) will enjoy The Murder Complex just as much as I did. The sequel The Death Code just came out and is already standing on my shelf, waiting for me to read it and I WILL! I will - once I finished Outlander...
